For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

Hey y’all things have been rolling along here in Guatemala, yet we were still able to get away for a couple days to celebrate Lanisha’s birthday. We went to the black sand beaches in Guatemala where we have been many times doing ministry stuff but haven’t been out that way in three years due to our sabbatical stateside, Covid, and the fact we just haven’t been able to get there since we returned last year. Normally when we go its a day trip which includes 6 hours plus driving. It was a great time and truly amazing as well. Apart from celebrating Lanisha’s birthday, something we try to do is always carry bibles in the car with us. This time we didn’t forget just in case GOD wanted us to bless some one with that true, “living powerful WORD of GOD…”  Lanisha is not our bread eater and has always loved ice cream.  So she said she wanted an ice cream cake instead of a normal cake.  Thus we went to the closest ice cream store and got us all some ice cream and checked to see if they had the cakes because if they didn’t we would have had to go an hour or so to get one. Thankfully they did so I told the lady I would be back in a bit after we did some things in town. In the meantime of ordering us some for the moment ice cream  (b/c it was hot) they began to play a CHRISTian song on the speakers they had set up at the entrance of the little shop. Recognizing the song I doubtingly looked at the lady working and said the singers name and she said yes that’s him, I them began to ask if she was a CHRISTian at which she smiled and said I am and we began to talk about where she goes to church etc. She told me of how their church was big on missions and began too thank me for what our family does here for the LORD.  I then proceeded as mentioned telling her id be back in a bit. We left did some things and before returning to the ice cream store I believed we were to give them some bibles. So Lanisha and I got out the car and went to get the cake. Payed for it and went to the car, still feeling to give some bibles I went to the back grabbed a six pack ( of bibles that is) and took them inside and said here are some bibles since y’all are mission minded here is your opportunity to give these to whoever you see needs a bible. The ladies face immediately lit up and she said we have service tomorrow I will take them to the church then, I proceeded with just give it to who you believe needs it and GOD bless you!!!  As I get in the car and go down to turn around as I pass back by the lady come running out of the shop with a pencil and pad and waves us down, asking for my name so they can know say who it was from and pray for us. She said again you do not know how big of a blessing this and will be may GOD multiply the blessings for y’all and your ministry. ( I have chills just typing it.) as here is a lady that never met me until that day, almost in tears of joy,  went to work, was faithful to LORD by playing a CHRISTian song for all around to hear, received bibles to share with some in a spiritual need, and I was the one who drove away blessed.

I share that with you for a few reasons one being my power walk verse Galatians 2:20 is the reason I do it to CHRIST be all the Glory. Secondly that all we have to do is be willing to step out and let GOD even if it’s not part of “ our plan or schedule” as HIS timing is perfect.  Lastly to say a big thanks to all those who have poured into this ministry over the years, whether it is on campus or off campus, you have been and are being a blessing to so many.  May GOD overflow your cup with blessings.

Since we returned a couple days ago we have been trying to get some construction stuff done while cleaning up for a government run childrens’ home that will arrive Thursday and leave Friday. Juventud para CRISTO ( youth for CHRIST) works with these young people and have asked if the could bring them up so this will be a neat time pray the presence of GOD will mold comfort and change their hearts.  We thank the LORD as we will have 3 different groups up this week for a bible retreat on campus.

Adam Lindsay also returned today so its great having him back.

As for our trip to the coast stay tuned there is another story I will try to share of how GOD moved even when we didn’t see it coming and used us in a way that was incredible…

In the meantime stay blessed.

Blessings in CHRIST,

The Clemmons Family- Guate
