June 2024 update

Hey y’all we hope y’all are doing well. It has been a fantasticly blessed past couple of months even with a some challenges and obstacles.

Since my last update the kids got out of school for summer break and we began to work on campus getting ready for our rainy season while coordinating and prepping things for some harvest workers that GOD sent us down. We had a group from West Virginia come by for a day before heading to the lake for ministry. It was a blessing having them as we also were able to help set up the delivery of stoves to the lake where they served and shared the love gospel of JESUS. Also our oldest Lanisha turned 9 on the 12th of June and se we got away for a quick three days and then got things ready for 6 ladies from Oklahoma/ Arkansas. Where we went before their arrival and met some new pastors. Big shout of thanks to our brother/pastor friend Moises Chic for guiding us to these pastors. Thanks to our brother/neighbor Misael Chicol for helping us these Pat few months driving, picking up supplies, running errands for me to focus on other logistics etc.

When the 6 ladies came we took them back with two of the pastors we met and were able to go do eye exams and donate food bags as a form of meeting their physical needs but mostly their spiritual needs. The ladies also went to the coast to do the same they blessed more than 100 families with food and many people with eye glasses. They met opposition from the beginning with there plain touching down in Guatemala then immediately reacsending to the air and off to El Salvador. Thus making them finally arriving to guatemala into the early morning hours. The good thing is they made it safe and we were actually able to bring all their luggage to the main campus. As another obstacle later in the week was that they began to put water lines in the road and left the ditch open the rest of the time of their trip and so they had to walk through the mud out to the main entrance every day. They didn’t complain even when they slipped in the mud and fell or when they had to carry things for ministry out to the car from campus. Thus making it a true blessing having them. Two of the 6 left on Friday of their trip while the other 4 left on Saturday to go to casa aleluya. They helped us prep for a team from casa aleluya that came up to do an event with the college age young adults. While also helping us prep for a team from Virginia who came down to serve the same day they ladies went to casa aleluya to minister for a week. During their time here GOD provided water as the truck of water nor mine could get in and out to haul water. They slid with us in the mud by foot and in the vehicles as it rained a lot while they were here. GOD is awesome we must just trust in HIM as we believe upon JESUS CHRIST, HIS SON’s death and resurrection.

Thanks Cristi and Carrie for coming down again and this time bringing some awesome sisters down with you to serve the LORD with us here in Guatemala.
